An Optimization Approach for A Biogas Supply Chain using Goal Programming and Mixed Integer Linear Programming

Environmental concerns prompt the world for a transition to renewable energy sources from fossil energy. Reducing dependency on non-renewable of is prerequisite sustainable and less environmental pollution. Biogas energy, which one most important sources, produced by burning organic wastes can be used in many different fields. In this study, two-stage approach undertaken optimize biogas supply chain design incorporating 30 districts Izmir. first stage, selection suitable plants considered goal programming approach, great importance decide optimal location with high potential. The sites are obtained as Konak Narlıdere districts. second problem vehicle charging stations (BVS) vehicles handled considering results stage using mixed integer linear (MILP) approach. Computational demonstrate that it would more appropriate establish BVS 12 İzmir. model solution pioneering problems an efficient tool plans.
